Fashion is what dreams are made of

Delicate fabrics, luminous colours, models who looked like pale fairies kidnapped from a  children storybook //
These are the first impressions and thoughts about the experience I had the chance to live a couple of days ago in Milan, together with other blogger-friends (Stefano, Elisabetta, Giuseppe, Andrea, Carlo, Chiara, Lucia) //

With Bicocca as background to the clip whose director was Stefano Coletti (also streestyle photographer and contributor to Vogue.it with his shots from fashion weeks all around the globe), we all enjoyed stealing glances, close-up of clothes and accessories and seeing how a short movie is done //

So what was it all about? //

We gathered there to witness Luciano Soprani’s rebirth //
After living in its own shadow for years, it was high time for the Italian brand to get a new identity, starting from a well known and appreciated history but looking towards the future //

Safari, romance, geometry are the 3 keywords to SS 2013 collection //

Further info coming soon… //

Italian Vogue Has Launched Its Own Version of Wikipedia

Following the example of Vogue US (although “Voguepedia” is still a work-in-progress), Vogue Italy got its very own version of -pedia, too //

It works exactly like the Mother of all Wikis: users can upload contents on the platform, but everything gets edited by Italian Vogue staffers before publication //

It’s called “Encyclo”, and it was launched just a couple of days ago //

Browse it here //

Emmanuelle Alt, Franca Sozzani, Anna Wintour, and Alexandra Shulman //
Vogue France, Vogue Italy, Vogue US, Vogue UK //
Sounds like the G8…ooooops the G4 of fashion //
And that’s exactly what will be happening on November 5, when Vogue editors will gather in the same room for the very first time //
It will happen on the occasion of Japan Fashion’s Night Out //
Vogue Nippon editor Mitsuko Watanabe will host the FAB 4 in Tokyo //
Save the date and stay tuned //
