My very first memory of London is pretty a tourist and naive one //
I remember deciding almost overnight to jump on the Happy Island together with a schoolmate - we were about 19, or 20 //

During those days, we had our eyes fulfilled with (and feet exhausted by) visiting tours, museums and all that stuff //

But it was only during my second trip to the Capital that I deeply, incontrovertibly, hopelessly fell in love with Her //

And this happened when I stepped for the first time into Brick Lane //

All the energy, the creativity, the enthusiasm you could clearly smell in the air together with the strong curry scents completely conquered both my heart and soul //

Youngsters lazily wandering down the streets, art galleries, laboratories and foundries of any kind  //

Everything seemed to be screaming AMAZING!, at the time //

But things have changed, many Londoners are aware of that, and found thenselves wondering…IS EAST LONDON DEAD? //

British magazine Dazed&Confused launched from its pages a sort of provocation, to find out whether East London still has got something to say or not //
